It’s the the staff of life … it’s our foundational sustenance … it’s global comfort food! It temporarily fills us up … leaves us wanting more!
Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life.”
He says, I AM
Power meets lamb
By Him I’m fed
Spirit and life
Amidst the strife
To Him I yield
Wholeness is mine
A life divine

We talked about this on Sunday – that Jesus’ words that day were shocking – they were scandalous … the very meaning of being a stumbling block.
Jesus did not soften his message … he did not make it “politically correct” … he did not even make it culturally acceptable … instead he spoke the very thing that would catch their attention … “eat my body, drink my blood.”
Many turned away that day. But you have to love the disciples response when Jesus asked, “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”
Amen, and amen!
